Look for My Brand New Site

My updated website site can be accessed with a link through my existing gallery site. Please let me know what you think of the format and the shopping cart.

I expect the site will go live in the next couple of days.

For the moment, I'm off to another show - my first bridal event. I'll have more on that when I return.

Skirts are almost done

I've been sewing wrap-around skirts for my display set-up to make it easier and faster to set up and tear down. I've finished three double pedestal skirts and I'm almost finished with the remaining two single pedestal ones.

I spent yesterday afternoon searching for more fabric. Fortunately, I did find enough to complete the job.

Making Skirts

I've spent this weekend making skirts for my display furniture. A couple of shows back I realized that I could set up and tear down much faster if I used skirting rather than the panels that are a part of the Dynamic Display set up(there are a minimum of 3 panels for each pedestal.)

I'm looking forward to using the skirts next weekend when I will have a very short set up time.

New Website

The last few bugs are getting worked out on my updated website. I think that the newly revamped website will be opening sometime next week. Keep checking here - the new site will features several jewelry categories and a shopping cart to assist you. I accept most major credit cards.

I'm still recovering from the weekend show - sales could have been better. My booth along with about 16 others was located 2 blocks from the park where all the events took place and where most of the vendors were located. I was charged the same fee as everyone in the park and I have to admit - I feel used.

Weather Here is Great

The weather in my part of north Florida has been great the last couple of days and the forecast is for more of the same through the weekend.

I'm very grateful for this turn of events.

Flooding in North Florida

Flooding with possible road closures is anticipated for this weekend in north Florida due to the heavy rains in Georgia and north Florida recently. (I believe one forecaster said some areas had received a week's worth of rain in a day).

The possible road closures include I-10 and many other main roads between here and Tallahassee. I'm hoping that I don't have any problems getting to Tallahassee later next week for the show.

LeMoyne Show and More

The LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival is held in Tallahassee, FL. This year it will be the weekend of April 18 & 19. It's downtown in the historic district off of Gadsden St. My booth number is 121.

My revamped website is about ready to be unveiled. I'm really excited about it. The site will have an all new look with sections for jewelry, tutorials (new) and also a bridal/wedding section (also new) that will feature jewelry and accessories for the bride-to-be. There will now be a shopping cart so you can make purchases directly on the site.

More Vintage Jewelry on Etsy

I'm posting more vintage jewelry pieces on my Etsy site - a number of clip type and screwback earrings, plus some necklaces.

The new website is almost ready to go. I've uploaded my woven necklace tutorial. Please give me some comments about what's clear and what isn't. Your comments will really help me.

It's hard to change this tutorial much, but I'll make changes in the future tutorials I release, based on the feedback I get.
