A New Look for My Blog

I've totally redone my blog layout and color scheme.   I'm still working out a few "bugs," but I think I like the brighter colors.

New Necklace and Earring Sets

Currently in the works -  new pieces, including bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.  I'm doing new pearl necklaces and earrings to replace ones that have sold.   I'm also doing more bracelets in coiled silver and some more memory wire bracelets made with an assortment  of beads.

The necklace in the lower photo is made with Biwa stick pearls and Swarovski crystal.   The necklace in the top photo was created with potato pearls (shaped like a potato) and accented with blister pearls.  Blister pearls form attached to the shell of the mollusk so they look interestingly different from a pearl that has formed within the soft part of the mollusk.

New Jewelry Photos

I've just added several new necklaces to the website. Take a look. On the left is a photo for another necklace I've just finished.

I'm doing a show in Tallahassee this weekend and I wanted to get some new items on the website before I left.

Another Squidoo Lens!

I am fascinated with New Mexico, especially with the northern part of the state.  I'm constantly amazed that you can drive 100 miles in any direction and find yourself in a totally new geographic region - a place that doesn't look at all like where you came from.

Although I've been visiting New Mexico for several years, I had never driven north from Santa Fe to the Abiquiu area.   This spring, I made that trip and as we drove along I realized that I could literally see Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings everywhere around me.   After making this trip, I decided to create a Squidoo lens about this fascinating woman and artist.

If you'd like to read more about O'Keeffe, here are some informative choices:

Happy Fourth of July!

It's been a cloudy and rainy day here.   Gainesville had fireworks last night - looks like tonight may be a washout for any areas around here that planned to celebrate tonight.

Website Updates in Progress

I've been doing design updates to my website in addition to adding a lot of new jewelry.  Take a look.  I'd like to hear what you think.   I'm still working on additional phases, so the website will be a work in progress for awhile longer.

I've added a number of braclets, like the one shown here, plus new rings along with some great necklaces and earrings.
